Table

Before
After

Occasional Table

This is what the table looked like when I got it.....lovely right.  It's saving grace was that it it solid oak and I was moving into a bigger house and needed more furniture.
Here is the finished product, much calmer.

this is where it sits in the middle of two wingback chairs I am currently recovering. (Recovering is harder than I thought and taking much longer than I anticipated.)

Dining Table

Unfortunately no before pictures, it was all black.  Cute enough, but Emily thought it was time to lighten things up.  Hopefully she is enjoying this cheerful dining set.

Reading Lamp

Hailey needed a table to put her glasses on and a lamp she could turn off herself after reading.  This was my solution.

I love how the ruffled shade turned out.

Christmas Presents

I had a lot of fun making the dolls resemble the sweet girl they are made for.

Grace

One of my favorite things about Christmas is getting ready for it.  I usually make most of the gifts I give so that means starting early.  This year I started extra early and I'm glad I did these Dollies took a lot of time, but now that they are done it was worth it.

Coffee Table

I forgot to take a before picture of this one.  It was painted brown, I've had it for quite a while and not know what I wanted to do with it.  I finally decided it was time to just go for it.

I really love the yellow, it helped make my house bright and cheery just in time for winter.

Bar Stool

The before picture

After, I am loving the bright cheery yellow chevron!

Here is my new sewing stool.

End Tables

We got these tables a few years ago for Christmas and have really enjoyed them.  I'm ready for a change though, so we went from Black to Cream.  I think it really lightened the room up.

I love the details below the glass.

The coffee table is next if I can find the right color.

Bench

This is an organ bench that we've had hanging around for a long time.  It was awkward, tall and pretty scratched up.  My husband cut it off and turned it into the perfect size for the end of our bed.

I love turning something old into something wonderful.

I love what the bench has added to my room and now my kids can sit on it instead of my bed.

Ruffle Ottoman

This was the original ottoman in all it's glory

Ever since Hailey got a foot stool for her room Aida has been asking for one of her own.  I finally got around to transforming this one.

I love all the girly ruffles and was happy to be able to do it completely from things I already had around the house.  When it was finished Hailey wondered if she could trade Aida for hers because this one is so much fancier.  Crazy kids.

Aida's Room

Aida chose her room color...Pink and more pink.  I love the scallops!!!

The blue dresser is the perfect relief form all the fun pink.

Aida loves having her own Pinkaliscious room!

Belle needed a tucked away sleeping spot.

Hailey's Room

I let Hailey choose the color of her room too, I love how it makes the red pop!  I'm also glad she wanted the scallops too, they are such a fun detail.

Now you can see the rosette valance where it was meant to be hung.

Hailey loves her window seat! We had fun making pillows.

A nice hidden spot for Tianna.

The view from the front door.

New pillows coming soon.

I still need to find fabric to recover the chairs.
there is still decorating to be done in this room, but it is coming along.

The view from the Living room is much nicer than it was a few weeks ago.  We went without a kitchen for a few weeks, it's amazing what we take for granted.  I am so glad to have a sink again, and a dishwasher is like heaven!  I am loving this kitchen!

I love this big kitchen!  There is dancing room right now, but hopefully by next week there will be a beautiful gray island right in the middle.

We tore out all the old cabinets and started over.  I love how it is turning out.  We still need to add the crown moulding, glass in those four small doors and corbels under that same cabinet.  I can't wait for it all to be finished.

One above the sink and there will be three above the island.

These knobs from Hobby Lobby add some fun color.

Loving my new magnets.

We still need to find a new chandelier, the search is on.
